My love of flowers started from a young age, I remember my grandmother first getting me to plant nasturtiums at the age of 4 in a little spot she made me in her garden.
I come from a family of farmers and keen gardeners so growing from the land is what we do. I have always grown flowers and find it very relaxing to go off into the garden and create something beautiful with what you've grown. It's a wonderfully rewarding feeling.
Originally from New Zealand, I moved here 10 years ago with my husband to his family farm, we have 3 wonderful children and live on a beef and arable and I also rear calves.
When I first moved here I was part of Wiltshire Young Farmers Club, and being thrown in the deep end in my first floristry competition at rally day, I was hooked!
There is nothing that gives me more satisfaction than creating beautiful floral designs, each unique, and inspired by the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, and the seasonality of British Flowers.
This winter I plan on expanding my cutting beds so I can grown more beautiful seasonal British Blooms. We always think of Holland when we think of flower production, but we are capable of producing such wonderful blooms here in the UK, so why not support locally grown flowers!
